History

The Greater Clark Foundation is a health legacy foundation located in Clark County, Kentucky. The assets that seeded the foundation came from the 2010 sale of Clark Regional Medical Center, a community-owned hospital at 1107 Lexington Avenue in Winchester, Ky., to LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. LifePoint constructed the new Clark Regional Medical Center, which opened in March 2012, at 175 Hospital Drive in Winchester.

One of the Foundation’s first public efforts is Project 1107, a community undertaking to determine the future of the 30 acres on which the hospital formerly was located. Our goal is to create an iconic public space that will establish a legacy of well-being in Clark County.
